December
Hey guys,
You made it, it's the end of the semester! And we'll still have dancing.
Now, lessons are over, yes, but, why would that stop us?
For the next 2 weeks, December 6th and the 13th, we'll have free, open dancing on campus.
Thats right! ON CAMPUS!!!! We'll be moving back to our normal room Ina Gittings rm. 16. It's one of the basement studios, on the west side of the Ina Gittings building.
The dancing will be from 7pm to 10pm. I hope you'll come by and dance with us. Also, if there is any music, or songs you really want to dance to, feel free to email them to me, or bring them, and we'll play them.
Can't wait to see you all,
Caitlin Bond

Day of the Dead
Hi guys,
So as you may know, tomorrow is Tucson's Day of the Dead. We, the Swing Cats, often perform the Shim-Sham in our skeleton make-up.
Tomorrow, we are meeting at Desert Vintage at 4th ave and 4th st. We're gonna meet at 4:30, get all organized, and start doing the Shim-Sham at 4:45 pm.
Dress up, and wear skeleton make-up! Also, if anyone has powerful wireless speakers, that don't need to be plugged in, please let me know. It would be wonderful to be able to have music while walking in the parade.
See you all tomorrow!
-Kat

Hi everyone,
I know everything with swing cats has been a bit confusing the last few weeks, but, we might have figured it out. Tonight swing cats is on! We will be holding swing cats tonight at a location called Dinnerware arts space. It's downtown, but it's luckily very easy to get to. Literally just a straight shot up Stone.
Here is a map to the space:
http://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&rls=en&q=dinnerware+artspace&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&sa=N&tab=wl
Lessons tonight will be a little bit different than previously announced. The 7pm will still be the 4th week of Balboa lessons. This week will teach you one more concept, and allow you an opportunity to ask questions if you are having trouble with anything. However, Todd and Jennifer had to cancel their 4th week lesson, for personal reasons. However, they covered a lot of material, and were comfortable ending their series there. So, for the 8pm lesson, Caleb and I will start our series.
So, for anyone who wanted to attend, a new beginning series starts tonight, at 8pm. If you haven't danced before, or just want to refresh your basic, come to our beginning Lindy class!
Also, anyone who needs a ride, since our location is not on campus, please feel free to tell me. You can call or text me at 520-481-1593, or email me, and let me know. We have more than 1 car available to chauffeur you to campus, so, if you can only be there for a certain amount of time, that is no problem. So, please, don't hesitate to tell me.
See you tonight,

Swing Cats 9/27
Caitlin Kat Bond
Tomorrow night, we're meeting at First United Methodist Church at 7pm! It's the church where the Tucson Stomps dance is held, and if you've never been, it's the church right next to Jimmy John's, on park, just off of University. You may park in the church's lot for the evening.
We'll be having our "week 3" lessons, Balboa at 7pm, Lindy Hop at 8 pm.
We'll also be holding a vote about the future of swing cats, due to our inability to schedule a room for the semester. If anyone has any ideas, or contacts, please bring them, and let us know!
Thanks guys, and see you tomorrow night!

I have some news for this evening!
Swing Cats will be held in upstairs studio 130 at 7:30pm, and 8:30 pm, for the 2 lessons.
And for everyone, NO STREET SHOES!!!
This means you can take your shoes off, and wear socks, or bring new shoes you rarely wear, or something, but you cannot wear the shoes you walked over in.
I know this is a slight inconvenience, but on such short notice, we're lucky to have a studio!
Thanks everyone.
