The DanceLoft and Arizona Swing Cats are continuing over the summer! Gayl and Howard, two of our lovely Swing Cats instructors, will be teaching the Shim Sham, Tranky Doo, the Big Apple, and with those routines, great solo charleston moves!
Shim Sham and Tranky Doo will be June classes, and the Big Apple will be covered in our July classes. If we have time, and a relatively equal number of leads and follows, we may also work on the California Routine.
These routines are staples in the swing dancing scene, and something any Lindy Hopper serious or not, should know! . Plus, they're a lot of fun, and a great workout!
A partner is not necessary. You DO NOT need a partner for the Shim Sham or the Tranky Doo, as they are individual routines. A parter is helpful for Big Apple, but we can make it work even if you don't have one! The California routine is a partner dance, but may not even be covered
